Prinz UK acquires Vera Trinder Ltd

ON April 1 2006 Vera Trinder Ltd announced the appointment of a new managing director, Jonathan Butt.

Jonathan Butt is also the managing director of the Cornwall-based company Prinz Publications (UK) Ltd which has acquired Vera Trinder Ltd from the founding owner Vera Webster.

Trooping the Colour gets first class salute

FAVOURITE British stamp of 2005, as voted for by 1100 readers of the British Philatelic Bulletin, was by far the '1st' stamp from the Trooping the Colour set, shown here.

With 115 votes it won nearly double the number of points each for the second and third stamps, the South-West England '2nd' (Studland Bay) and the Royal Wedding 30p.

However, the most popular set was that marking the bicentenary of the Battle of Trafalgar which amassed 1743 points, compared to the 919 of the second-place Trooping the Colour set ...
